Tell us the mode, the thermostat setpoint, the outdoor conditions, and whether the indoor fan's moving air. That gives the visit a real starting point, no guessing at a failed part required.
Describe what the system's doing, when it started, and whether the home reaches the thermostat setting. A short observation beats a guess like "the compressor's bad."

Some frost during heating is normal when a defrost cycle clears it. Ice that keeps building, blocks the coil, or won't clear needs attention. Don't chip it off yourself.
